The supplied index reports a comparative study on the stability of 6′-O-caffeoylarbutin and arbutin, using HPLC to detect degradation products. Under acidic conditions, the derivative generated arbutin and caffeic acid and produced less hydroquinone than arbutin; it showed no degradation under the tested enzyme conditions. A zebrafish withdrawal model exhibited sustained pigmentation reduction, with mechanisms involving the MITF pathway and changes in melanosome maturation and trafficking.
