The supplied index reports: A reconstructed-skin/THP-1 coculture was used to detect CD54, CD86, and IL-18, and compared with human patch testing to evaluate the sensitization potential of cosmetic formulations. Under the thresholds used in the paper, the method showed an overall sensitivity of 56.52% and 75% for cleansing products.

Overall sensitivity 56.52%.Detection sensitivity of the method for all tested products under the paper's sample and thresholds.
Sensitivity of 75% for cleansing products, with variation across product types. The higher sensitivity in the cleansing subgroup does not apply to all cosmetic categories.
