The supplied index reports a study in which Artemisia capillaris extract was used to pretreat UVB-exposed HaCaT keratinocytes, with measurements of apoptosis, DNA damage, oxidative stress and inflammatory mediator release, accompanied by analysis of the cGAS/STING pathway and related compounds. The results indicate that the extract reduced cellular damage and ROS levels, decreased the release of IL-1α, IL-6 and PGE2, and pathway assessments suggested involvement of cGAS/STING signalling, while chlorogenic acid and its derivatives may interact with relevant targets.
