Embracing with Warmth — Botanee Group Completes Five Hope Bathrooms

On November 9, five "Hope Bathrooms of Botanee Baby Project" donated by Botanee Foundation were completed in Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Representatives from Yunnan Youth Development Foundation, Botanee Group, Committee of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) and Pingbian Miao Autonomous County attended the inauguration ceremony. The completion of Hope Bathrooms has expanded the bathroom capacity of some boarding schools in the county. It is an important action of Botanee Group to support educational assistance and rural revitalization.

At the beginning of this year, the Committee of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of CYLC, Committee of Pingbian Miao Autonomous County of CYLC, and Education and Sports Bureau of Pingbian Miao Autonomous County found that some boarding schools in the autonomous prefecture had insufficient bathroom capacity. In response to that, the Botanee Foundation in Yunnan Youth Development Foundation donated RMB 500,000 to build "Hope Bathrooms" in Lule Primary School in Heping Town, Amuhei Primary School in Xinhua Township, Henanjiao Primary School in Xinhua Township, Tuanjie Primary School in Baihe Town and No.5 Middle School in Pingbian Miao Autonomous County.

The completion of Hope Bathrooms has expanded the bathroom capacity of local boarding schools, and enabled students to feel the warmth of the socialist community in winter. Some students said: "We are very happy that the school has a bathroom and we can take a shower whenever we want." "We love playing basketball, but in the past, we couldn't do strenuous exercise or we would sweat. Now with the Hope Bathroom, we can exercise and play without worry."

Volunteers from Yunnan Youth Development Foundation and Botanee Group distributed donated materials to each student. They also organized small classes on personal health habits to understand the real needs of schools. They had in-depth exchanges and discussions with school leaders on topics such as adolescent development, mental health education and rural revitalization.

The completion of Hope Bathrooms in the county has provided a better education environment for rural students and consolidated the development foundation of local education. Up to now, Botanee Group has built 16 Hope Bathrooms in Eshan County and Yimen County of Yuxi City, Xichou County of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and Pingbian Miao Autonomous County of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, benefiting nearly 5,000 teachers and students in Yunnan Province.

During the important period of consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and boosting rural revitalization, Botanee Group has implemented various public welfare programs of Hope Project through Yunnan Provincial Committee of CYLC and Yunnan Hope Project to meet the actual needs of the province. In this way, it has helped local teenagers realize their dreams.

Since the establishment of Botanee Foundation at Yunnan Youth Development Foundation in April 2021, Botanee Group has launched various public welfare programs of Hope Project to implement major strategies and actions such as biodiversity conservation, inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, COVID-19 pandemic control, education aid, poverty alleviation and development assistance. In the future, Botanee Group will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities and make solid efforts in public welfare to support the growth of teenagers.
