Earth Day: Botanee Launches Official Biodiversity Collaboration Action to Drive the Development of New Quality Productive Forces
Earth Day (April 22), which originated in 1970, has become a global environmental event aimed at reminding people to care for the Earth and protect natural resources and the environment.
On April 22, 2024, Earth Day, the second China Corporate Carbon Neutrality Performance Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Yicai and co-launched by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research Institute of Carbon Neutrality and Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, was held at the Shanghai World Expo Museum. Wang Long, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Secretary of Botanee Group, was invited to attend and officially announce the launch of the Biodiversity Collaboration Action. Botanee pledged a donation of RMB 3 million through the YICAI Foundation to support China’s biodiversity conservation strategy and actions, injecting solid strength into the promotion of new quality productive forces and high-quality development.

Since its establishment, Botanee Group has consistently adhered to the concept of green development. Key topics such as green supply chain, environmental management compliance, biodiversity conservation, and climate change response have been the core focus of the group for sustainable development. In practice, it continuously improves its environmental management system, enhances energy use efficiency, reduces pollution emissions, and promotes green circular development of upstream and downstream links along the industry chain, contributing to the harmonious coexistence between humans and the Earth.

In addition to green packaging, Botanee Group organizes a series of environmental activities to encourage more people to participate in actions that protect the Earth and promote low-carbon circulation. In 2023, Botanee launched the “Special Care for the Earth” Empty Bottle Exchange Campaign, incentivizing consumers to return used packaging bottles with reward points, which were then processed into reusable packaging materials for WINONA’s products. This achieved a closed-loop packaging recycling system and reduced the flow of packaging waste into nature. In 2024, WINONA, a brand under Botanee Group, initiated an innovative environmental campaign called “Oasis Guardianship Action”. It partnered with nearly 2,000 cooperative chain pharmacies nationwide to promote an empty box recycling program, encouraging consumers to bring empty boxes to designated pharmacies for recycling. For every 500 valid empty boxes collected, the brand sponsored the planting of a jujube tree in the Tengger Desert to build a sustainable ecological cycle.

In the future, Botanee will continue to keep pace with global carbon neutrality development and implement national guidance and requirements to actively engage more enterprises in carbon emission reduction and sustainable development practices, thereby jointly building an Earth home with harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
