Botanee's Winona Highlighted on CCTV: Leading the Way with Scientific Research in Cosmeceutical Skincare and Showcasing the Excellence of a Chinese Brand
On January 6, 2022, Consumption Proposition (Xiaofei Zhuzhang), CCTV 2's special feature released an episode from the program named Highlight of Chinese Products (IV): Rise of Chinese Products with Surging New Brands. This episode shed light on Winona, a leading cosmeceutical brand, delving into the factors behind its achievement as the only Chinese brand to secure a spot among Tmall's Top 10 beauty and skincare brands for four consecutive years.
Winona's Sensitiveness Relieving Moisturizing Tolerance-Extreme Cream, a star product, has seen a continuous surge in sales, establishing itself as a long-term cornerstone offering. During the 2021 Double 11 Shopping Festival, more than four million bottles were sold on online platforms. The soaring popularity and sales figures can be attributed to Winona's scientific backing, which may be the real factor in its strong consumer appeal.

"Our Sensitiveness Relieving Moisturizing Tolerance-Extreme Cream contains simple components, with just 15 ingredients in it," said Wang Feifei, Executive Director of the Botanee Research Institute. The main components are simple but targeted, reflecting Winona's robust research and development capabilities. The Sensitiveness Relieving Moisturizing Tolerance-Extreme Cream is specifically developed for people with sensitive skin and goes beyond merely relieving dryness, itch, and redness. Consistent use enables people to bolster the skin barrier, improve skin tolerance, and preserve a healthy and stable skin condition. The cream has twice represented Chinese advancements in dealing with sensitive skin at the World Congress of Dermatology and earned recognition from global dermatologists. Winona establishes a development model that integrates medical insights with scientific research. The product efficiency and safety are trusted by undergoing clinical testing and observation of dermatological departments across 63 hospitals.

Since its inception, Botanee Group, Winona's parent company, has attracted outstanding professionals in dermatology, botany, and biology. Collaborating closely with skin specialists domestically and internationally, Botanee has delved into the foundational causes and mechanisms of skin sensitivity. Operating within a collaborative platform that involves industry, academia, and research institutes, Botanee boasts 79 valid patents within China and has 11 core technologies. Leveraging its postdoctoral research stations, Botanee has introduced postdoctoral scholars from top domestic and international universities. This helps Botanee form a strong research and development team with over 100 members in dermatology, botany, pharmaceutics, drug analysis, polymer chemistry, biology, fine chemicals, and applied chemistry. Their mission is to unlock the highly efficient ingredients contained within the flora of the Yunnan Plateau, infuse scientific innovation into the beauty industry, and support each product to become an example of excellence in the cosmeceutical sector.

In the concept shift from 'Made in China' to 'Created in China', numerous leading Chinese companies and brands are offering their wisdom and developmental methods to bolster the rise of domestic products. Looking forward, Botanee will remain steadfast to its mission to create China's skin health ecosystem and spearhead the cosmeceutical industry's high-quality growth by making the most of its product excellence and brand power. Scientific research and innovation are set to be deeply rooted in its DNA. Botanee's independent research and development will ensure its long-term innovative breakthroughs, support the establishment of a national brand, and actively facilitate the ongoing evolution and advancement of the industry.
